Our prints are published by Meridian Fine Art in collaboration with the artist
and are of the hightest quality. Referred to as Glicée, each print is
carefully reproduced to match the original artwork. The process begins with
exceptional artwork which is then photographed with a very high resolution
scanning camera, followed by rigorous color matching and proofing. The artist
collaborates and provides final approval for the edition. Each print is then
signed and numbered by the artist.
We are currently building print galleries where information about each artist
and their work will be available for viewing. Thank you for visiting.

About Fine Art Prints
Many have heard the term giclée (zhee-clay) as well as Iris print.
The term giclée is a euphemism for an inkjet print with a strong
connection to archival reproductions from original works of art. Iris
is a trade name that refers to the first inkjet printer able to produce
"art quality" prints. Iris prints are specific to Iris inkjet printers
while giclée more generically refers to any inkjet print that
is derived from an original work of art.
Meridian Fine Art works with large format advanced inkjet printers,
water and fade resistant pigment ink and archival cotton papers or
cotton/poly blend canvas. Often prints are difficult to discern from
originals. It is accurate to say that our printing process is known
as giclée but we generally avoid the euphemism and favor terms
such as pigment print, fine art print, or even fine art reproduction.
Admittedly, the term giclée has become difficult to avoid as
it has been widely embraced by the mainstream community.
About Our Fine Art Print Service
Our service is custom and collaborative. We aim for the highest quality
and your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are an artist interested
in prints from your original artwork, digital art or photography then
you are invited to make an appointment to view samples and discuss
our services. Call Joseph Wilhelm at (707) 826-7184.
In creating the best fine art reproductions we provide in-house photography
using scanning camera technology that can exceed 144 mega-pixels. To
protect your artwork, we use low UV lighting for exposure and when
needed we can cross-polarize, as well as enhance or subdue texture.
We have great tools, years of experience, and a large client base.
Ask your Humboldt County artist friends and you are likely to hear
of their experience with us.
